During this year’s edition of Scarlatta Notte organised by the Sannat Local Council, the terrific amount of €1,704 was collected in aid of Puttinu Cares, the organisation that helps children who suffer with cancer and their families.

This amount was collected through various activities which took place over the weekend of Notte Scarlatta, including the sale of the largest ftira Ghawdxija made by David’s Bakery, as well as wine donated by Delicata Winery. Other activities included an exhibition by the Gozo Scale Modelling Club, a concert by Georgina Gauci, a car show, cultural activities, including a Queen Elizabeth re-enactment, dance and folk music, as well as singing and dancing.

Apart from the funds that were collected for Puttinu Cares, the event also served to create a greater awareness of the Organisation with not only the people of Sannat, but all those who attended the festivities throughout the weekend.

The next event in Gozo for Puttinu Cares is a High Tea, to be held in Nadur Square, on Friday, the 6th of July at 7.30pm. Gifts and vouchers will be available to win from JB Stores, Myoka, Agenda Bookshop, Captain Morgan Cruises, Ta’ Mena, Jigami Hairdressing, Mediterraneo Park, Malta Sightseeing, Eurosun Ltd and Suncrest Hotel.

Free transport is available from any area. For further information, or to book a place or food ticket (Price €2.50) please call on: 79704840, 99899780 or 79270074, or by email on puttinucaresgozo@hotmail.com.
