A busy weekend is expected on Gozo as thousands flock to the island to take advantage of the long Mnarja weekend.

Gozo hotels and businesses, having started the year off poorly, are hoping for bumper trade on this first long weekend of the summer.The popular Mnarja Feast in Nadur, the feast of St Peter and St Paul, concluded yesterday. Activities for the feast started on the 18th of June, including band marches, Church celebrations, firework displays and yesterday morning’s band march, followed by horse racing in the afternoon.
