Mater Dei Hospital said in a statement this afternoon that the general condition of the former Prime Minister Dom Mintoff has improved remarkably.
He does not require further care in the Intensive Therapy Unit and is now being managed in the Critical Coronary Care Unit.
The former Labour Leader, 95, was admitted to hospital last Wednesday.
