Enemalta has said that a high tension cable fault caused parts of Xlendi and Munxar to be without electricity this morning.

The fault occurred at around 5.30am and the supply was restored to most consumers by 7.22am, the corporation said.

“One substation in Xlendi could not be reenergized through alternative sources.” Enemalta said its employees are on the spot trying to locate the fault and repair the fault. “The repairs will take approximately ten hours to complete.”

The corporation apologised for any inconvenience caused
