At the end of August the Villa Rundle Gardens in Victoria will be the venue for an evening of opera entitled, ‘Seher il-Gnien ma’ Rosabelle u l-hbie – A Summer Evening at the Gardens with Rosabelle and Friends.’

The programme of music will include among others, Mio Babbino Caro ( Gianni Schicchi), Solveig’s song (Peer Gynt), Non ti Scordai di Me, Con te Partio. There will also be excerpts from the Pirates of Penzance, Les Miserables, Fiddler on the Roof, West Side Story, Phantom of the Opera and Porgy and Bess to name but a few.

The compere for the evening is Katrina Pavia and the artists taking part are soprano Rosabelle Pavia and tenor Fabian Galea, Jacob Portelli on the harp and Jason Camilleri on trumpet. Soprano Josephine Marie Grima will be making her debut during the evening.

The evening has been organised by the Gozo Culture and Information Office within the Ministry for Gozo and is being held on Friday, the 31st of August, in the amphitheatre of the Villa Rundle Gardens starting at 8.00pm.

Everyone is invited to attend this evening of music in a relaxing atmosphere.
