The Gozo Philatelic Society has said that MaltaPost have been kind enough to offer various interesting prizes for the13th annual Gozo Philatelic Exhibition which is taking place between the 10th and 16th November at the Ministry for Gozo Exhibition Hall, St.Francis Square in Victoria.

All members are encouraged to participate. The theme for this year’s exhibition is ‘Majesty.’

The prizes will be:

· a copy of Malta Stamp Collection (book + stock cards including a small selection of stamps) for the Best Item in Show (besides the usual Trophy);

· a copy of the Historical Collection for the exhibitor with the best Aggregate (excluding Best Item marks);

· subscriptions for a year ‘s issues of FDCs for the first three placed in each of the Open Classes (excluding exhibitors winning either of the above, the resultant FDCs being awarded according to level of participants in that Class)

· subscriptions for a year ‘s issues of FDCs for the best five Junior exhibits (besides trophies).

The Society said that “as usual, all the other Juniors will still receive a philatelic memento. According to the level of participation, further prizes and vouchers will be awarded in the Open classes.

“The practice of Participation Certificates will of course be continued. So it’s still more worthwhile to participate.”

Another subscription for a year ‘s issues of FDCs will be drawn among visitors.
