The Aurora Opera House in Victoria, Gozo is the venue for the Leone Band's annual symphonic concert 'Leone Band in Concert,' under the baton of Colin Attard.

In this musical event, the 80-piece wind band will this year be presenting an interesting programme that includes the suite 'The Three Elizabeths' by John Coates (1944), the celebrated 'Morning, Noon and Night in Vienna' overture by Von Suppe and Jacob de Haan's 'Concerto d'Amore.'

From its own musical archives, the Leone Band will revive '1565' a symphonic march penned by former Sicilian conductor Giovanni Giumarra. This will be performed on the 450th anniversary of the Great Siege of Malta.

As is customary, Leone Band in concert will also feature a selection for band from the most recently performed opera at the Aurora Opera House, hence this year it will be 'La Traviata' featuring the band and instrumental soloists.

The Leone Band in concert is taking place on Saturday, the 21st of November, starting at 8.30pm. Doors open at 8pm. Entrance is free of charge.
