The MUT in a statment today referred to the Industrial Dispute registered with the Government concerning Learning Support Assistants, namely:
(1) The appointment date of LSA II and
(2) the non-appointment of a considerable number of LSAs who were successful in the interview for LSAI.
“In view of the fact that no tangible resolution has been attained,” the MUT Council said it has decided to” issue a series of industrial actions which will be revised weekly according to the situation.”
The MUT Council said that it “condemns the attitude that is being taken with LSAs and it hopes that this is not reflective of the attitude that the Authorities have towards Educators and their precious work.”
