Minister Chris Said, today inaugurated a new shooting range that has just been completed in Nadur. The ‘Gun Blast Shooting Range’ aims to promote and manage the development of amateur sport shooting in the country.

During his speech at the inauguration the Minister commented that through this initiative, the organisation is helping Gozo to gain more sports facilities, as well as increasing awareness in a sport that has the possibility of being potentially dangerous.

The Organisation said that it is authorised for training and to organise and supervise shooting competitions on the local and national level. In order to realise these goals its certified and qualified instructors hold courses on such subjects such as pistol safety, pistol parts and operation, shooting fundamentals, ammunition, skills for operating a pistol, shooting positions.

The range is open for Pistols: Saturday and Sunday and Rifle: Once a month (advised 2 weeks before).

The open housr for winter are: Saturday – 8.30 till 16.00 and Sunday – 8.30 till 16.00.
