BirdLife Malta Electoral Campaign

The Federation for Hunting & Conservation – Malta (FKNK) and its associate St. Hubert’s Hunters (KSU) in a joint statement issued this afternoon said that they “have not yet uttered a single word with regards the current general elections of the 9th March, and yet according to BLM we are hijacking elections again!”

FKNK and KSU said that “thousands of hunters and trappers and their families are not third class citizens as the new political party, BirdLife Malta (BLM), is trying to suggest in the launch of their electoral campaign.”

The hunters said that the “BLM attempt to hijack this election, has made it clear to everyone that Malta needs a serious ornithological society rather than an anti-hunting group desperately seeking support.”

The FKNK and the KSU concluded by saying that they “remind their members that their votes as Maltese and Gozitan citizens count and that in due course and as has always been done before every general election, the outcome that may result from any discussions with the two main political parties will be made public.”

The problem with you hunters/trappers/poachers is that you may not be third class citizens – far from it – but you behave as if you belong in third world countries where they don’t know any better.

Is it just a coincidence that FKNK sounds like a terrorist organisation? Where is the Saintliness in Huberts hunters?
