Gozo has been welcoming the large numbers of Maltese who have been crossing over for the Carnival weekend which is being enjoyed in villages across the island.
The Gozo Channel Company will be operating extra services in the early hours of Sunday to help with the extra influx of cars and people to the island for the popular Nadur spontaneous Carnival. 
Unfortunately, last night’s activities had to be cancelled in Victoria due to the bad weather, however, that was not the case this morning and the Carnival parade along Republic Street, went ahead, followed by a show in the Carnival Enclosure in Independence Square, with the participation of school children, dance companies, adult dance companies, floats, grotesque masks and local bands.
Sunday’s entertainment gets underway at 10.30am with a live band in the Carnival Enclosure in Independence Square, Victoria, entrance is free.
Then in the afternoon at 3.30pm, a Carnival parade will take place along Republic Street, Victoria, which will be followed by a show in the Carnival Enclosure in Independence Square, Victoria with the participation of school children dance companies, adult dance companies, floats, grotesque masks and local bands, entrance is by ticket.

I am very happy for them , for enjoying the Carnival .I used to enjoy it also, when I was young ,and when I go home ,our Mother had QASSATAT and Pastizzi lesti in the Oven .((( Forn ))).
