This very pretty female Dalmation is Shelly, the Gozo SPCA rescued in 2012 after she had been spotted running around Victoria.

She was in a terrible condition when she was picked up, just skin and bones as can be seen by the photographs below.

With lots of love, care and attention from the volunteers at the Centre in Victoria Shelly started to put on weight and gain confidence.Shelly has been with a foster carer, but they have now had to go abroad for some time and the Gozo SPCA would really like her to find a ‘forever’ as soon as possible.

Shelly is about 6 or 7-years old, she is house trained, very affectionate and really loves to go on walks. She does not get on with other female dogs. Shelly is on medication for sandfly. Hopefully somebody can find a place in their heart and their home for this lovely dog very soon, she so deserves a chance at finding a happy life in a loving home, after being neglected for so long.

If anybody thinks that they can help with a home for Shelly, or any of the other animals at the Gozo SPCA centre, then please email info@spca-gozo.org. You can also contact them on 21553769 and 99475199 or visit their website at: www.spca-gozo.org/.

Any of the animals can be reserved for rehoming and a gallery is available which features many of the dogs and cats that are currently in need of new homes.

Our previously published items on Gozo SPCA animals who are waiting for adoption can also be viewed in our Adopt a Pet section.
