In a joint statement issued by the Nationalist Party and the Labour Party, they have appealed to the public to conduct themselves in a calm and orderly manner on election day and over the following days.
The statement also asks for the public to follow police orders whatever the outcome of the election.
Both parties have agreed that at the close of polling on Saturday they will remove any billboards with political propaganda.
