The first results from last Saturday’s Local Councils’ elections are expected later today, with the counting process expected to continue through until Sunday.
Counting of the votes started in Naxxar at 7.30am this morning for the 33 Councils in Malta and Gozo. The Electoral Commission said that the approximate turnout of votors was 82%.
The six localities in Gozo are, Fontana, Gharb, Ghasri, Sannat, Victoria and Xewkija.
