This week’s articles in the PDF download are:
1. Victoria Primary School students were recently taken to Ghammar Hill, where they participated in the Way of the Cross. Year 6 students staged a mime, based on Andrew Lloyd Webber’s rock opera Jesus Christ Superstar, at the amphitheatre on top of the hill.
2. Canon Joseph Muscat was recently installed as the new parish priest of Fontana during a solemn Mass.
Canon Muscat was accompanied to the church by the La Stella and Santa Margerita bands. John Galea’s Missa Fons Vitae was performed during Mass, with the participation of the Chorus Urbanus and orchestra.
The Proprium of the feast of the Sacred Heart, also composed by Dr Galea, was performed. Attending Mass were Fontana and Sannat parishioners.
Canon Muscat was born in Sannat in 1959. He started his priesthood formation at the Gozo Seminary in 1975 and was ordained priest by Pope John Paul II in Rome in 1984.
