The Ministry for Energy and Water Conservation announced in a statement this evening the new Board of Directors appointed for ARMS Ltd.
The Ministry had recently requested the immediate resignation of its CEO Wilfred Borg, who is at this time still in his position.
Anthony Valvo has been announced as the new Chairman, with Louis Giordimaina, Anthony Sultana and Justin Tabone as the Boar Members.
The Government had said last week that Wilfred Borg’s resignation had been requested after it was found that ARMS Ltd had passed on incorrect information to the Department of Social Security. As a result, 3,119 energy benefits, from a total of 3,897, were issued with a significantly lower amount.
The Ministry for Energy said in last weekk’s statement that the situation at ARMS Ltd has been problematic ever since it was set up, and that as a result, families and businesses have been suffering from a series of shortcomings and mismanagement.
