Concurrently, a group of students from Giovanni Curmi Higher Secondary School (Naxxar) is participating in the E.S.C.O.T. European Schools Gala 2013 held in Montecatini (Italy) accompanied by two of their teachers.

The purpose of the festival is for students to experience altogether art, culture, sports, friendship and thermal wellness. In a European atmosphere, all participants benefit from personal, educational and cultural enrichment.

Yesterday, May 2nd, the Maltese male and female teams ranked fourth in the music volley tournament and fourth in the male 5-aside football tournament. The Maltese delegation stands out for its fair, collaborative, multicultural approach, as well as for retaining the Maltese friendly and festive attitudes.

Today, May 3rd, the accompanying teachers are delivering a presentation entitled “Twinning for community learning: Nurturing didactics in municipalities.” The delegation will then compete with other European Schools for best video with a three-minuter produced by the school on the link between young people and thermal wellness.
