The Gozo Tourism Association in a statement this morning said that it “notes, that the competent authorities took the necessary measures, in order to reinstate the popular beach of Ramla l-Hamra, freely accessible to all without any difficulty, after this popular tourist spot, was once again littered with large pebbles, rendering this beach difficult to use, as it was posing danger to visitors and bathers.”
“With the summer season just round the corner, the Xaghra Local Council took the lead to guarantee the necessary improvements to make Ramla l-Hamra, a beach that can be enjoyed by both locals and foreigners alike,” the GTA said.
The Gozo Tourism Association said that it “believes that the serious and balanced interventions on our small beaches will keep our beautiful island competitively marketable with so many emerging, enchanting destinations world wide.”
Concluding the statement the Gozo Tourism Association said that it”appeals to all concerned, the central and local Government, the private stakeholders and the public in general to look after the touristic product on the Island of Gozo.”
