Police Day 2013 has been commemorated this week in various localities across Malta and Gozo. This year is is marking the 199th anniversary since the force was founded.

In Gozo the activities will be taking place tomorrow, Sunday, the 14th of July, in Marsalforn at 6.30pm with a Mass was celebrated at Santa Marija cemetery chapel followed by the blessing of police graves and laying of flowers.

There will then be a Police Band March starting at 8.00pm at Mikelang Refalo Street, which will be followed by a Police Band Concert and displays by the Precision Drill Team, as well as the Police Dogs Section at Il-Menqa.

Other activities for the public to enjoy include two police horses, a traffic police motor bike and an Administrative Law Enforcement dinghy, which will be giving rides to children
