Five youths were arraigned in the Gozo Court today accused of grievously injuring a young foreigner between August the 15th and 16th, in Victoria.
The youths, three of whom are minors, were also accused of voluntarily damaging the victim’s property, whose value exceeded €116.47 but not €1,164.69.
The accused, who appeared before Magistrate Paul Coppini, pleaded not guilty to the charges against them and were granted bail against a personal guarantee of €500.
Farhan Ainab Mohamud, a 34-year-old Somali with no fixed address, was also charged with breaching conditions imposed on him by Judge David Scicluna on July 16, 2012, and relapsing yesterday, August 18, 2013.
He pleaded not guilty to the charges against him and was remanded in custody pending judgement tomorrow, August 20, 2013.
