A 55-year old Gozitan male residing in Xewkija is in a critical condition following the serious injuries he suffered during a traffic accident in Xewkija, Gozo.
The Police was informed at 4.30pm yesteterday afternoon of a traffic accident in Imgarr Road, Xewkija. The Police said that an Isuzu KB and a Triumph Bonneville T100 crashed and the latter, a motorcyle, ended up hitting a wall.
The Isuzu was being driven by a 32 year old male, he was also carrying a 27-year old male passenger during the accident, both are from Kercem-
The 55-year old male was taken to Gozo General Hospital. The Police were informed that the man suffered serious injuries and is in a critical condition, he was later airlifted to Mater Dei Hospital.
The Duty Magistrate has been informed about the case and appointed an inquiry into the case.
Police investigations are ongoing.
