Xaghra Parish is celebrating ‘Our Lady of Victories Feast’ this weekend. Last night there were band marches around the main streets of the village, with thousands of people of all ages joining in the fun.

Today, Xaghra Parish, in conjunction with Xaghra Local Council organised a ceremony to commemorate the two Great Sieges of Malta of 1565 and 1943.

It included a re-enactment by the Xaghra Historical Re-enactment Organisation, with the participation of locals, as well as marches and drills performed by the Malta Police Band and the laying of wreaths in front of the Great Siege Monument.
