The Police have said that a man was arrested after what is thought to be cannabis and other related paraphernalia were found in his possession today, in Triq ir-Rabat, Zebbug, Gozo.

The man, 26, who resides in Zebbug, Gozo, was stopped by the Gozitan Criminal Investigation Department and Mobile Squad during a road check at about 12.30am, after their suspicions were aroused by his behaviour, the Police said.

The man was subsequently arrested after a search of the car he was driving, a Toyota Carina, yielded drug-related items.

The suspected cannabis, was, however, found in his apartment shortly after.
