The Gozo Business Chamber said that it welcomes the announcement that the Government, through ETC, will be providing an additional Euro 2 million from EU employment aid funds which will be used exclusively for employment aid schemes in Gozo.
The Chamber added that it is convinced that such schemes, as in the past, can be of huge benefit for the creation of new jobs in Gozo.
It also notes with satisfaction “that 22% of the funds that lately have come out under various schemes by the ETC were distributed in Gozo.”
The GBC concluded that it “continues to urge the Government to keep on focusing on the creation of new jobs in Gozo in order to safeguard the future sustainability of the Island of Gozo.”
