Festa Familija was held at the Gozo Sports Complex on Sunday evening, when €1330 was raised in aid of Puttinu Cares. Special guests for the evening were Freddie Portelli and Vince Fabri who entertained the audience with their music.

The jam-packed programme presented by the Puttinu Cares Gozo Committee kicked off with a zumba session with Victoria Gatt, this was followed by Gozitan dancers and singers including Deborah C, Centre Stage Academy and Waterfall Dancers.

Children were able to participate in a sports competition, won by the St Theresa School team and were also entertained with balloon modelling by Mr Remy, experience face-painting and had the chance to buy ‘Shadow Warrior,’ a book written by Kurt Abela.

A vintage car exhibition was open to the general public, where funds in aid of Puttinu Cares were also raised. A number of youths participated in the Aerial Runway Flying Fox organised by the Emergency Response Rescue Corps of Gozo (ERRC).

This coming Sunday, the 5th of May, a fun walk and cycle organised by the Gozo General Hospital Employees will be held in aid of Puttinu Cares. Participants will leave from the Gozo General Hospital main gate at 4.00pm. A car wash will also be held at the hospital’s main car park from 10.30am onwards.
