The Gozo Tourism Association said in a statement today that it is committed to effectively collaborate towards the realisation of the Government’s vision for ITS
During the past days, the Minister for Gozo, Dr Anton Refalo accompanied by Mr Joe Muscat Chief Executive Officer of the Gozo Tourism Association paid a visit to the Institue of Tourism Studies Campus in Qala.
Mr Muscat had also the opportunity, on behalf of the Gozitan tourism establishments, to learn more about the concrete plans to transform ITS in Qala into an established and recognised vocational training institution, offering unique training services, not only to meet the regional trade needs, but also opening it up for national and international interests.
The CEO commented that he “believes that this is the way forward to resuscitate the ITS in Gozo and attract also local interest and attendance in this institution.”
According to Mr Joe Muscat, “this is a vision that the Gozo Tourism Association will be embracing and taking on board, and effectively collaborating with the Ministry for Gozo, the Ministry for Tourism and ITS towards its realisation.”
Whilst expressing his regards for being given this opportunity of getting a better understanding of the vision for the ITS, Mr Joe Muscat thanked ITS Chairman Dr. Ernest Azzopardi and Deputy Chairman Mr. Joseph Bonello for their persuasive input within the Institute.
