Next Saturday and Sunday, the 16th and 17th of November, Alda Bugeja of Gozo will give pratical demonstrations of the typical Gozitan Loom and Art of Weaving, Macramé and Kumihimo, at ‘Ir-Rokna tal-Kreattività ma’ Amina Contin.’

There will also be a large display of Christmas artifacts, ideal for Christmas presents, as well as an interesting documentary film on this ancient art will accompany the expert hands of the weavers

Alda Bugeja is very well know both in Gozo and Malta for her mastership of this craft and for her works in Macramé (a form of textile-making using knotting) and Kumihimo (a form of rope making by interlacing strands).

‘A Glimpse of Wool’ with Alda Bugeja is taking place on Sunday, the 20th of October, at ‘Ir-Rokna tal-Kreattività ma’ Amina Contin,’ at 8, Triq L-Gharb, on the corner between the two roads to San Lawrenz and Gharb villages (bus 311 and 312).

The demonstrations are from 4.00pm and 7.00pm. Entrance is free and everyone is invited to visit.
