Today, in a brief ceremony held at Police General Headquarters, 16 Police Constables were appointed as Sergeants.

Also during this event, the Police Commissioner, Mr Peter Paul Zammit, distributed to every member of the Police Motorcycle Section, a full-face crash helmet, a new radio communication system as well as a florescent vest equipped with more safety features than their previous issue.

As has already been stated in previous occasions by the Commissioner, improvement is being made in the equipment issued to officers deployed at the Police Motorcycle Section in order to protect more their health and safety whilst they are on duty.

The Commissioner said that more new equipment is to be introduced in the near future.
