Christmas is a time for giving and it is with this in mind that entities take various fundraising initiatives in a bid to step-up their support of those organisations which assist the needy.

The Police Force is no different and has this year, more than ever, pledged to do all it can to lend a hand with this noble aim, so much so that it will be holding yet another event in aid of the Istrina Campaign, this time a Motorcycle Charity Ride.

The ride will be held on Sunday, the 22nd of December 22, weather permitting, kicking-off at 9 a.m. from outside the Police Garage in Notre Dame, Ditch, Floriana. The leisurely route will eventually end at the Seabank Hotel’s Parking Area, Ghadira, where the total amount of donations collected throughout the event will be announced.

The Police emphasised that the event does not solely apply to members of the Police Force, neither to only their friends and relatives but to all motorcycle enthusiasts.

The charity ride follows another successful fundraising event organised by the Police Force on December 14, 2013, at Saint George’s Square, Valletta, where donations where similarly collected for the same campaign.

This also follows the participation of numerous police officers in the President’s Fun Run, Piggy Bank Campaign, Santa’s Swim and Paqpaqli ghall-Istrina.
