The Federation for Hunting & Conservation – Malta (FKNK) said in a statement today that it “encourages all the Maltese islands’ organisations, all of which, obviously, represent a minority position when compared to the rest of the Maltese society, to join forces with the FKNK in its stand against the anti-democratic and abolitionist act of the coalition (CASH) led by the green political party, Alternattiva Demokrattika.”

“Together with the FKNK, such organisations will thus be in a better position to prevent the coalition, or any other organisation or individual, from ever abolishing the legitimate interest of any organisation that is in a minority position when compared to the rest of the Maltese society,” the FKNK said.

“As a first step, every individual Maltese and Gozitan citizen of such minorities’ organisations should sign the Petition that will eventually be brought to the attention of the Maltese Parliament, since while democracy demands that the majority should govern, this same majority should always respect and safeguard all minorities’ interests,” the FKNK concluded.
