MaltaPost has announced a revision in its postage rates saying, that “over the last years, changes in the framework established by the Universal Postal Union, establishing inter-operator fees have negatively impacted MaltaPost and a number of services have recorded systematic losses.

“These trends are such that it is unsustainable to keep providing the current level of service at the present rates.”

MaltaPost added that it therefore submitted a request to the Malta Communications Authority for a revision of postage rates.

In its decision published on 24 December 2013, the MCA partly approved the revision and, with effect from the 1st of January 2014, the following rates will apply:* Note: For further information and details please visit www.maltapost.com.
