Gozo-Rocks-Green & Clean Hike organised for tomorrow, Sunday, the 2nd of February, has unfortunately had to be cancelled due to the bad weather conditions this weekend, which will have made the ground too muddy.

Louis Debattista of the Gozo Greyhounds, the organiser of the hikes, said that hopefully the weather for the next hike on Sunday the 9th will be better, which will be departing at 1.00pm from in front of the Qala Local Council office and finishing at Mgarr ix-Xini

“Ghajnsielem Local Council is helping us do the clean up of the Ghajnsielem area by providing materials (recycling bags, wipes, and gloves) to pick up rubbish as well as a bus back to Qala from the Heliport.”

Louis added that “Anyone who wants to join in from other villages are more than welcome to come along for an enjoyable afternoon in good company. You can park in Qala and please bring 2 bottles of water and a snack. Hopefully we’ll have lots of people join us for the next hike.

“I do thank the Qala and Ghajnsielem Local Councils for their time and dedication to help us to keep going.”

“I am asking again for all the Local Councils and the Minister of Gozo to help us by providing materials and transport tp the Gozo-Greyhounds ‘Gozo Rocks-Clean & Green ,” Louis said.
