This year visitors to the Xaghra Carnival will have the opportunity to taste a piece, of what is hoped, will be the largest ‘Prinjolata’ ever to be produced in Malta and Gozo.
The’ Prinjola’ is expected to weigh in at 800 kilograms, so there will be plenty to go around when it is eventually cut, and all the proceeds will be in aid of Puttinu Cares.
Organised by the Fondazzjoni Kummuttiva tax-Xaghra and Tal-Laku Confectionery, the cutting of the ‘Prinjolata’ will be on Saturday, the 1st of March from 7.30pm onwards in Nazzarenu Square, when oficials from the Malta Records will be present to monitor and judge the final presentation in order to declare it as a National Record.
The ‘Prinjolata’ will also be available on Sunday, the 2nd of March, at Victory Square in Xaghra from 10.00am onwards.
For those unable to get to the Carnival at Xaghra they can still make a donation to Puttinu Cares on: MT58VALL22013000000040020582173.
