Wednesday morning dawned, it was the halfway stage for for Gozo Week, and events were in full swing as various people – including Minister Evarist Bartolo, milled around the stands on what was an exceptionally fair morning.

The main event for Wednesday, was a debate between MEP candidates Miriam Dalli, Arnold Cassola, Cyrus Engerer, Kevin Plumpton and Stefano Mallia. Organised by GUG in collaboration with Insite, it was met with enthusiasm and proved to be an interesting and thought-provoking debate.

On a different note, another social event from the Campus series drew several students to Paceville in the evening for a celebration outside the academic environment.Today, the GUG executive was kept busy maintaining the energy and spirit of Gozo Week at the Campus stands. Despite the wintry conditions, a light and positive mood was kept throughout the day as the members greeted students, lecturers and visitors including MEP candidate Lino Bianco.

GUG said that by the time this penultimate day of Gozo Week drew to a close, preparations were underway for the closing of this annual initiative together with the events related to the occasion.
