A youn Gozitan woman was injured in an accident earlier this afternoon during an incident that involved the Minister for Finance’s official vehicle.
The Ministry for Finance said in a statement that the car had been involved in a traffic accident in National Road, Blata l-Bajda. The Minister was in the vehicle at the time.
“Regretfully, a young woman was also involved in the accident and taken to hospital for further observation,” the Ministry said.
“Minister Scicluna remained onsite until medical assistance and the police arrived, to provide the assistance required.”
The Ministry concluded by saying that that “it is informed that the young woman’s condition is not serious.”
It is believed that the young woman was trying to cross the road at the time of the accident
