During Gozo Week, the Gozo University Group Committee embarked on an initiative which supplemented the work already done at the European week for waste reduction (EWWR).

GUG said that a questionnaire was carried out focusing on two different and related aspects of environmental care. “On one hand the knowledge of the participants and on the other their ideas on how to make our local environment a healthier place.”

“This was done in collaboration with the Msida Local Council, who kindly decided to help us by offering to sponsor a price for a participant randomly chosen within those who filled in the questionnaire,” said GUG

The aim of this questionnaire was to obtain valid information from students and non students alike within the university campus, and try to understand how conscious people are about the local environment around them.

GUG announced that the winner of this competition is Tabita Kristel Bonnet.
