The Malta Environment and Planning Authority (MEPA) has said that “in the light of the Government’s commitment to reduce bureaucracy on development applications, all expired planning permits issued after August 2006 have been extended until March 2015.”
Works are to resume with no need to go through the planning process all over again, thus saving financial burdens, MEPA said
The Authority said that this policy is “intended to provide a temporary solution for expired permits until the planning reform is concluded.”
