Gozo College Gharb Primary school has recently participated in the Greener, Cleaner Gozo Campaign launched by eco-Gozo, within the Ministry for Gozo.

Members from Year 6 of the EkoSkola committee participated in the event and the pupils were provided with the necessary items, including, gloves, sunblock, disposable bags and a weighing apparatus.

The cleared areas were Ta’ Pinu parvis and Ta’ Sdieri Bridge, which was built by the English around 1851.

In all, 39 kilogrammes of rubbish were collected in just under one hour.

The activity was co-ordinated by Ms Victoria Cassar, Deputy Head of Gozo College, Gharb Primary.
