The Leone Philharmonic Society will be presenting the 7th edition of the ‘Leone Goes Pop Concert,’ which will be held, as usual, in Independence Square, Victoria Gozo.

The Society said that “what started off as an experimental band concert, in 2008, with a line-up of modern music, has now evolved into one massive outdoor event which usually draws huge crowds. Last year’s jubilee edition broke all records of attendance, as the crowds overflowed from Victoria’s main square into the surrounding streets.”

“At present, the organising team is busily securing the guest appearances of star singers, musicians and other personalities,” the Society said. “Their names will be announced as soon as the final starring package is confirmed.”

The resident conductor Colin Attard will be at the helm of the Leone Band for this very popular annual concert, which this year will take place on Saturday, the 7th of June – the Sette Giugno national holiday, starting at 9.00pm.
