Unique and Useful Discoveries to be presented at Jellyfish Conferences

Pelagia benovici – is a New Jellyfish discovered in the Mediterranean Sea and the lead scientist and Med-Jellyrisk coordinator, Prof. Stefano Piraino, is to give a keynote presentation at the Jellyfish Conferences organised by the Department of Biology, University of Malta on the 22nd of May 2014.
The conferences on the 22nd and 23rd of May will commemorate the International Day of Biological Diversity by covering issues relating to jellyfish diversity and their role in the marine ecosystem and socio-economies of Mediterranean countries.
Various other scientists of international calibre and at the front-line in jellyfish research will be contributing to these very educational conferences allowing stakeholders to learn more about marine biodiversity and how it is changing.
