The Gozo University Group said that it is proud to have been presented with the Kokka Kulturali Award for the academic year 2013/14, during a ceremony at KSU’s Kokka Night held this week.

The Kokka Kulturali Award is for the organisation who showed the greatest participation in KSU’s artistic and cultural events, it was awarded to the Gozo University Group for their Gozo Week on Campus event.

GUG’s core aim, the Group said, “is to better the life of Gozitan students and enhancing our region’s culture and identity within the University environment is something which we constantly strive towards.”

It added that “although the work our executive members carry out is done on a completely voluntary basis, it brings us great satisfaction to see that our efforts in this aspect – particularly with regards to the annual Gozo Week – are being recognised and appreciated.”

GUG thanked KSU, its main sponsor BOV, as well as all the members who keep the organisation alive and help it grow.

“The encouragement and enthusiasm shown by students at University is certainly commendable,” said GUG. “We hope to remain a strong part of this for the years to come.”
