Europa Donna Malta (Breast Care Support Group) has started the project ‘Pillow Talk.’ “Our aim is to make a collaborative artwork inspired by words, objects and stories from people whose lives have been touched by cancer.”
The completed artwork will be on display at the art exhibition organised by Europa Donna Malta, ‘Awareness Through Art Exhibition, ‘which this year will be held between the 10th and the 26th October 2014, at Palazzo de Piro in Mdina. The work will then be offered to the new chemo therapy unit at the Gozo General Hospital.
Europa Donna Malta said, “this project will not work without your help; whether you can donate time, a small object of sentiment or meaningful word, quote or date, we can use them all. Everything donated will be used because it implies a special meaning for every person who donates it.”
As part of this project called ‘Pillow Talk,’ the team has set 3 Saturdays to meet and greet in Gozo, with members of Europa Donna Malta and the artists behind this project, to give a chance for people to donate items which can be used for the artwork:
Saturday 14th June at the Duke Shopping Mall between 10am – 12pm
Saturday 21st June at Arkadia Commercial Centre between 10am – 12pm
Saturday 28th June at Pjazza San Gorg between 5pm – 8pm
Everyone is welcome!
