The 45 Malta Airport ALIVE 2014 Cycling Challenge for Cancer cyclists rode through 4 hours of soaking rain that “has tested their endurance levels.” However, they all finally made it to Vienna!

The riders said that there are some aches and pains being felt, but everybody is feeling confident!

The team got underway at 8.00am this morning, with welcome sunshine to help them on their way. They left Austria and are cycling towards Gyor Hungary, covering around 140km. Todays route will see the riders facing moderate gradient ascents and uphills.

The riders thanked the back-up team who is behind all the co-ordination and logistics of the ALIVE 2014 challenge.

As of about 4.00pm many of the riders, including Louis Debattista, were in Bratislava, capital of Slovakia.

Each rider has their own tracker so if anybody would like to follow Louis, the only participant from Gozo on the challenge, you can do so by going to http://alivecharity.com/tracker/. Louis is number 9 in the list.
