The Ministry for Gozo and the Victoria Local Council, in a joint statement, said that they deplore the vandal attack that took place during the weekend.

Unknown persons damaged the artistic sculpture which is found in the newly opened public garden in the middle of the roundabout at the Victoria Bus Terminus.

The bronze monumental birds, which are part of the sculpture, were found bent. The floor lanterns were found broken and parts of the turf were plucked out.

A report was filed at the Victoria Police Station. “Such behaviour is unacceptable and such acts should never be repeated again,” the statement said.
