President Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca and her husband Mr Edgar Preca, left Malta this afternoon for on an official visit to Liege in Belgium
They will attend a memorial ceremony marking the 100th anniversary since the start of the First World War.
The President and Mr Preca are expected to return to Malta late evening on Tuesday.
Meanwhile Ms Dolores Cristina is the Acting President.
