June's industrial production up 4.9% on previous monthSeasonally adjusted industrial production increased by 4.9 per cent in June to 95.6 points, over the previous month. When compared to June 2013, the index of industrial production adjusted for working days went down by 3.8 per cent, the National Statistics Office said today.

Increases were registered in the production of intermediate goods (+6.5 per cent), consumer goods (+2.5 per cent) and capital goods (+0.1 per cent). On the other hand, the production of energy went down by 1.7 per cent.

When compared to the corresponding month of the previous year, the index of industrial production went down by 3.8 per cent. Decreases were registered in the production of consumer goods (-5.0 per cent), energy (-1.9 per cent) and intermediate goods (-0.1 per cent), while the production of capital goods increased by 1.0 per cent.
