Online applications open for Students Maintenance Grants 2014

As from 8th of August 2014, the student smart cards was deactivated permanently. Any balances on this date were credited to the students bank account after the necessary processing procedure, the Ministry for Education said.
The Students’ Allowance replacing the smart card system is a onetime payment directly credited into the students’ account at the beginning of the scholastic year. Same amount previously received as smart card top up will be credited into the students’ bank account.
As from Scholastic year 2014 / 2015, all 1st and 2nd year Post Secondary Students and all MCAST Students must apply online for the Students’ Maintenance Grants.
Students must have e-id password to apply. Students that don’t have an e-id please call at – Identity Management Office, Gattard House, National Road, Blata l-Bajda
Their opening hours are: Monday to Friday 8.00am till 2.00pm, Wednesday 8.00am till 2.00pm and 3.00pm till 6.00pm and Saturday 8.00am till 11.00am.

This applies to the below Educational Institutions: Junior College; G.Curmi Higher Secondary School; St. Aloysius College; De La Salle College; St. Edward’s College; St. Martin’s College; Verdala International School; Foundation for Educational Services; Malta Youth Ballet; Sir Michelangelo Refalo Upper Lyceum, Gozo and MCAST
University of Malta students should apply via the University of Malta e sims system.
