‘Xlendi Summer Events,’ organised by the Xlendi Administrative Committee, are being enjoyed by thousands of visitors, to the bay this summer

The programme of events continues this week on Thursday, the 21st of August, when there will be an open-air screening of the Avengers film, starting at 9.00pm.

Then on Wednesday the 27th of August, the popular Gozitan band Spectrum will perform live in concert between 9.00pm and 11.00pm.

All the events take place with the beautiful and dramatic backdrop of Xlendi Bay. With something for all ages to enjoy throughout the summer. The final weekend of fun is on the 21st of September, bringing this annual event to a close.

‘Il-Fjakkolata tax-Xlendi’ is taking place every Saturday evening during the summer between 9.30pm and 12.30am.

‘l-Fjakkolata tax-Xlendi’ revives an almost forgotten tradition when the rugged coastline of Xlendi will be illuminated with torchlight fires to commemorate the liturgical feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, the patron saint of Xlendi.

The Committee said that everyone is invited to help and add their own torchlights or candles on balconies roofs & terraces! A little hint for balconies, large citronella candles also work perfectly and smell pleasant too!
