The Minister for Gozo Dr Anton Refalo, has presented a commemorative ship’s plaque to Carmelo Buttigieg, a Gozo Channel employee, “in recognition of his noble act while on duty, for returning a bag containing €2000 and IPad to its owner.
Gozo ferry passenger Ina Pavlova, had left her bag on the ferry by mistake while travelling across from Gozo to Malta last week, and didn’t discover it was missing until she was across Malta.
However, the bag had been located on board by Carmelo, and it was returned safely to Ina Pavlova. Carmelo had refused a reward offered to him by the grateful passenger.

So glad he received the plaque. He deserves it
Very well deserved award.
