Last weekend Gozo SPCA held collections on the Gozo Channel ferries, between Friday morning and Sunday evening.

A spokesperson for the Gozo SPCA said that these collections had raised the magnificent sum of €4,819.87.

The Gozo SPCA thanked the Management of the Gozo Channel Company for kindly allowing them to make the collections, everybody who so generously contributed towards helping the animals of Gozo, and all the volunteer collectors who worked over the 3 days.

The Centre currently has 9 dogs waiting for loving homes, and the Centre said that sadly they have no more space available to take other dogs in.

Therefore in case of emergency the Gozo SPCA advises to please call animal welfare on 1717, which is manned 24/7.

The animals can be reserved for rehoming and a gallery is available which features many of the dogs and cats that are currently in need of new homes.
